Here's What Was Supposed to Happen

We scheduled eight meets for the game. For each one, we had an idea of what was supposed to happen during the meet. We tried to anticipate likely alternatives like "what if they start shooting?" or "suppose they kidnap him", but you all left us standing. As it should be, I suppose.

1 CIA & Irina Pier One This is the pre-arranged meet between the CIA and Irina Platov. They hope to find out where her husband is. Irina goes off to talk to the Syndicate. The CIA must find Platov alone.

KGB & MiB Aroma's The MiB have anonymously contacted the KGB suggesting a meet. The MiB can put the KGB onto the Syndicate's having the bomb. The KGB can provide a lead on Irina (through their contact). They should make the swap; both stand to benefit.

Militia & CT Borders The CT have contacted the Militia through the wacko underground to arrange a meet. Both sides hope to garner information. Neither side will learn much of value. It's possible the CT will learn about the bomb and the Militia will learn about the Azerbaijani.

Azer & Syn Carrillon The Syndicate has put the word on the street about the bomb being for sale. This is the Azer's appointment to try and buy it. Their bid will be too low. However, the Syn. will mention the Militia as a competitor.

2 Militia, Syn, & Platov Carrillon The Militia arrive for their scheduled bid. As they arrive, Platov will be speaking to the Syn. He will depart as soon as they approach. Their bid is also too low.

Azer,CIA, & MiB Prestonwood The Azerbaijani have contacted the CIA to arrange this meet. The Azer want to sell the identity of a mole within the CIA. The MiB have been warned by their contact, and they shadow the meet to protect her in case she's exposed. The CIA should buy the name. The Azer get more money, the real mole can relax, the MiB can sneak away, and the CIA think they're clean.

KGB & CT Frankford Library The CT called the KGB and arranged this meet to swap information. The KGB will discover that these guys are nuts. Little real info should be exchanged.

3 Azer & Platov Miami Subs The Azer want to hire Platov to build the bomb for them. He agrees to do so on the condition that they must find his wife first.

KGB & Syn Carrillon The KGB goes to try and recover the bomb from the Syn. The Syn. quotes an outrageous price.

MiB, CT, & Irina McDonald's The KGB gave the MiB a line on Irina, so they come to interview her hoping for a lead on her husband. The shared contact puts the CT onto the meet. She recognizes the MiB and sends them to the Syn. to get rid of them. She then calls the CIA to pick her up and asks the CT for a protection until the pick-up can happen.

Militia, CIA Cottonwood The Militia has been contacted by another wacko group to swap information. However, the Azer have put the CIA onto the meet. The CIA arrive to arrest the terrorists. Almost certainly a gunfight. Winner irrelevant.

4 CIA, CT, Azer, KGB, & Irina Renner The CIA goes to pick up Irina (who called them). She is being escorted by the CT. The Azer mole in the KGB has told them where to find her, but his capture inspired the KGB to send their team. Both the Azer and the KGB have been ordered to grab her. After things blow up, Irina should reveal her alien powers and escape. Since the MiB are absent, it should not be possible to capture her. Various alliances and enmities may form here in the aftermath.

MiB & Syn. Carrillon The MiB go to the Syndicate to demand Platov's location. The Syn will refuse to talk unless the MiB use the blackmail information they have been given. Then the Syn. will surrender the location of meet #5.

Militia & Eco Campbell School The EcoTerrorists call again to arrange the meet with the Militia. The Eco will give the Militia some money and offer a line on the KGB.

5 Militia & KGB Fretz Park The KGB were called by the Eco to set up a meet, but it's a trap. The Eco hate Russians and have sent the Militia to ambush them. Another generic firefight meet.

MiB & Azer Cottonwood This meeting was prearranged between Platov and the Azer. However, the MiB bullied its location out of the Syn. The Syn, in a rage, warned Platov away and promised the bomb to the Azer if they killed the MiB. Another shoot-em-up.

CIA & Syn Carrillon After seeing Irina, the CIA starts backtracking her. Since they know the Syn. brought her over, they go to "interview" them about who she really is. The CIA learns little, but they do arouse the Syndicate's interest in Irina and her package.

CT & Eco Bookstop Another wacko-underground swap meet. The Eco give the CT a sample of radioactive waste (mostly a red herring) and put them onto Platov's location.

6 Azer, Militia, & Syn Carrillon Time for the final bids on the plutonium. Thanks to having more money and the MiB meet, the Azer will have their bid accepted.

KGB, CIA, & Irina Collin Creek Food Court Irina figures her best chance to avoid dissection is to involve both major powers. She hopes each will keep the other honest. So, she calls both teams and asks them to meet her. The CIA and KGB should form a tentative alliance to secure Irina's cooperation. She will take them to recover the cleaner.

CT & Platov Prestonwood Given Platov's location by the Eco, the CT should go to meet with him. He will be stunned by the news about Irina. He takes the CT with him to get the cleaner, but she's moved it.

MiB ??? The shared contact tells them about the CT meet. Their mole may tell them about the CIA meet. Where they go is up to them. The odds are against them arriving at either site in time to intercept the meeting.

7 MiB & Militia Bookstop The MiB are warned by their contact that an alien has openly revealed herself. They must get more firepower to "contain" the situation. He arranges a meet with the now disaffected Militia. The Militia are out of options and must make the meet. The MiB should offer an alliance, and the Militia should take it. Only together do they have any hope of accomplishing their goals.

Azer & Syn Carrillon The Azer arrive to make the swap for the plutonium. If all goes well, the Syn will offer to refund the money if the Azer will acquire the package Irina brought over (the Enhancer). The Syn has decided to get in on whatever is going on.

KGB, CIA, & Irina Pear Ridge Dead End Irina takes them to pick up the Cleaner. They get it.

CT & Platov Renner Platov takes them to where he thinks Irina has hidden the Enhancer. After hunting a bit, they should find it. Irina's note at the old cleaner site says she's coming here, so they wait.

8 CIA, KGB, CT, MiB, Militia, Azer, Irina, Platov, & Alien Renner Irina arrives with the gov. teams to get the enhancer. Platov and the CT are already waiting. The MiB are onto it from their contact, and they bring the Militia who still hope to seize the bomb. The Azer may show up to try to grab the enhancer for the Syn. The MiB's superiors have sent another alien to support them. Basically, a big squaring off between the white hats and the black. The Alien and Irina should counter one another and probably take one another out permanently. If the Azer show, they're likely to get caught in the middle.
