17th Annual Tour of Ponds 2008

Saturday June 6, 8AM - 5PM

Saturday evening June 6, 8PM - Midnight

Sunday June 7, 8AM - 5PM

June 14 - September 30 by Special Appointment.

Clues = nonflowering, perennial, dragonfly-perch, seedless, hollow, evergreen, spore, ancient, wild, bamboo-like, whorls, scouring, aggressive, rough, cone, ridged, equis, unbranched, weedy, cylindrical, native, segmented, fern related, folk remedy, herbacious, leafless, grooved, tubular, upright, silica, jointed, rhizomatous. Many can be found at the Kentucky Derby. These plants are so ancient that they were around in the Carboniferous Period.

2008 Pond tour books are available at these participating retailers for only $10 which includes tax. Proceeds fund the NTWGS Educational Fund.
